Duikplaatsen: Er zijn er zeker meer die de moeite waard zijn.
Duikgidsen: De eigenaar van de basis was zeer kieskeurig.
Ondanks mijn PFO werd er niet op gelet dat ik snel uit het water kon komen zonder uitrusting. We moesten 15 minuten aan de oppervlakte wachten tot de boot ons inlaadde.
Het antwoord op onze kritiek was: zo is het nu eenmaal. Toen we vroegen of we 10 minuten langer mochten duiken, gaven ze geen antwoord!
De bemanning trok met tegenzin mijn uitrusting omhoog (vanwege PFO mag ik me na het duiken niet inspannen), het vest werd omhoog getrokken aan de inflatorslang in plaats van aan het handvat van het vest! Dit is mijn eigen uitrusting en geen huuruitrusting!
Verklaring van de basisleider: dit kan niet, zijn bemanning is zeer ervaren!!!
Mijn maatjes kunnen dit bevestigen!!!
De iets kleinere boot (niet de Tornado) was ok. De banken waren echter smaller, waardoor het moeilijk was de jas aan te trekken als de boot vol was.
De trap is veel te kort, er ontbreken minstens 2 treden. Ook was er geen touw aan de zijkant van de trap om je aan vast te houden terwijl één voor één op de boot klom.
Zeker nooit meer deze basis.

Dear guests, thank you for your feedback. We would like to give a statement to explain the situation from our point of view:
We were aware that one of the divers has a PFO, but by checking at the orientation dive they told us that they are experienced divers and can take care of everything themselves like taking a longer safety stop with their buddys in a group of four. We were confident they were experienced enough to know what they are doing. Unless they used a big amount of weights and as well a 15l tank which made the whole equipment very heavy. The weight of the equipment meant that the Dhoni Crew had problems to get it out of the water back on to the boat after the dive. Unfortunately at this process one of the crew member did accidently touched the hose of their equipment. The Operations Manager talked with the crew to remind them to be more carefully.
Regarding the boat situation, it is true that we now have a smaller boat with a smaller ladder & bench, but since Covid-19 we also have less guests so it is suitable for our current needs. The boat is actually provided by the Hotel and we don’t have much say in what boat we get to use, so it is better we can use this small boat than not offer boat trips at all for the guests! Any complaint about the boat can only be directed at the hotel.
We are sorry that the guests had to stay a bit longer on the surface on one day. But with a group of 10 divers which all have to get back to the boat again, there is automatically a waiting time. As well there were always in sight of the Dhoni captain. Another organization wouldn’t be possible as we would be late to return to the resort.
The other buddy pair (their friends) continued to dive with us and were very happy with the service of the dive center and the dives.
We are sorry that it didn`t worked out for the guests, we would have liked to have handled the situation differently.
